Changanacherry is in the fore front in matters of fashions, style and imitation. The innovative businessman and the youth studying out of the state are behind is growing fashion consciousness. The area lying between Kottayam and Thiruvalla on both sides of the M.C. Road is Changanacherry. The town mprovement committee was contributed in year 1912. In 1921 it evolved in to the Municipality. Now the Municipality has 32 wards.
